Costs of Providing EMS Service
Costs of Providing EMS Service
Our volunteers gave over 15,000 hours of time last year, saving the communities we serve hundreds of thousands of dollars. Even with this savings, however, the costs of equipping and operating a first-class EMS system are significant. Here are examples of items that are purchased with your donations:
| Advanced Life Support Ambulance | $150,000 |
| Lifepak 12 Cardiac Monitor | $25,000 |
| CPAP Breathing Device (disposable) | $60 each |
| Fuel | $9500 per year |
We also use donations to pay for station renovations. We recently completed a $60,000 project to renovate our station to improve its readiness and increase our ability to attract and retain volunteers.
