CPR Saves Lives!
Our goal is to train as many citizens as possible in lifesaving CPR techniques. We offer our library community courses well below the full cost of the course. To make this possible, we seek out donations and other sources of funding to subsidize the cost of making these lifesaving skills available to you.
Reasons for Taking a CPR Public Course
There are many good reasons for community members to take advantage of CPR for the public classes offered by Mcgregor Memorial EMS.
1. Classes are offered at a very reasonable fee and can be done easily without interfering with school or work and can result in more lives saved, perhaps a family member, a friend or someone you don't even know.
2. It provides important information allowing bystanders to respond more effectively in emergency situations in the chain of survival for arrest or near arrest victims of all ages in the community until EMS arrives on the scene.
3. It is essential for babysitters of all ages (from teens to grandparents) to know and be able to apply the CPR course material, as an emergency can arise at any time and often when you least expect it.
4. Even if you have taken a CPR class in the past, consider taking a
refresher course if it has been over 4 years because there are many
important changes in how to deliver effective CPR.
