EMT Policies

Please review the following policies carefully as they set out your rights and obligations with respect to your purchases. Your registration for a class with McGregor constitutes your agreement that these policies apply to the order, so be certain you understand them before you register for a class.

Refund Policy

McGregor Institute plans several aspects of its courses around the number of people registered. For this reason, we have established the following policy regarding cancellations. Those registrants who cancel 30 or more days prior to the start of class will be issued a refund minus a $50.00 administrative fee. Cancellations made within 30 days but at least 2 business days prior to the start of the class will be charged the lesser of $200 or the cost of the class. No refunds within two business days.

Attendance Policy

Because the State of New Hampshire Bureau of EMS has strict requirements for attendance during all EMS courses, this program has established the following procedures.  Attendance is mandatory. Students can miss three 3.5 hr classes (if there are weekend classes scheduled; 1 weekend class day=3 of the 3.5hr classes) without penalty.  Absenteeism in excess of three classes (or one weekend class) shall result in a 5 point deduction from the student’s final average for each additional missed class.  Students who are absent beyond three classes may not be penalized if sickness or an emergency occurred.  Students will have to submit a written note stating the reason for their absence.  Documentation of the sickness or emergency will be required.  Absences due to non-emergent/non-illness causes (eg. work, sports events) will not be excused.  Approval of requests shall be determined by the lead instructor. The Attendance Roster shall be distributed for student signatures at the start of the class and at random times during the class. Students arriving more that 15 minutes after the start of class will not be allowed to sign the attendance sheet as it is a) disruptive for students to come in while the instructor is speaking and b) valuable information is often announced at the beginning of class.  Students must sign the attendance roster with their own full and legal signature.  It is the responsibility of the student to sign the roster.  Students who do not sign the roster shall be considered absent.  Students must be present through the entire class to receive credit for attendance.
