Spring 2012
When
Tuesday and Thursday evenings from January 24 to May 3. Classes run from 6:30pm-10:00pm. There will be one weekend class held on January 28/29. This weekend class is held from 8:00am - 8:00pm.

University of New Hampshire campus in Durham, NH
Tuition
$890. Those registering within two weeks to the start of the class are subject to a $25 late fee.
Note: Books, testing and certification fees are NOT included.
Prerequisites
All students must hold a current NREMT-Basic certification and certification in American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer or American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers. Although it is not a formal prerequisite, we expect that candidates for the EMT-Intermediate program have had sufficient experience as an EMT-Basic to develop competence in the core basic life support skills. We would prefer to see candidates have a minimum of 25 EMS calls where they have had direct responsibility for providing care.
Clinical Hours
Students are required to complete a minimum of 30 clinical hours in the emergency department. Most students spend their time at their local resource hospital. We also have clinical relationships with Wentworth Douglass Hospital, Exeter Hospital, and Portsmouth Regional Hospital. You are responsible for scheduling clinical time. While in clinical, students are required to perform 10 patient assessments and successfully initiate 10 IVs. All students must provide proof of liability insurance coverage to your clinical site.
