Continuing Education
Focus EMS is approved to offer continuing education hours for New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine and Massachusetts EMS providers. Nurses can also receive credit for attending Focus EMS.
If you are an EMS provider from any state to receive the maximum hours you must attend the lunchtime and bonus sessions on Saturday. Focus EMS will provide you with a certificate stating the sessions that you attended, the total hours you were at the conference, and any relevant state approval numbers.
Maine
Receive up to 15 ½ CEH Hours. Use the code 11-11-00-m-047 when recertifying. This code will also be on the certificates you receive for attending the conference.
New Hampshire & Vermont
Receive up to 15 ½ Con. Ed Hours. You will receive a certificate stating you attended.
Massachusetts
Attending Focus EMS will allow you to receive up to 15 hours of continuing education hours. This is because OEMS does not accept ½ hours. Focus EMS has an approval number for Saturday (11-8941) and Sunday (11-8942). You can receive up to 8 hours on Saturday and up to 7 on Sunday.
Focus EMS
Brand new this year, Focus EMS is being offered a Basic RTP (Recertifying Transition Program) for Nationally Registered EMS providers. You will be able to sign up for the sessions that interest you and use it to count as your RTP!
To take advantage of this fun and exciting way to recertify you must:
- Attend a session on Friday afternoon (November, 18 from 2:00pm-10:00pm). The location will be announced as the date approaches and we have a better count of how many people will be attending.
- View the attached schedule and sign up for the classes according to color. (The RTP coordinator has designated certain classes that you must attend to receive the RTP credit. She will go over this information again on Friday afternoon)
