School Nurses
Program for Nurses: The programs that we can offer in this section can be tailored to the professional development needs of particular school nurses and school safety concerns. Training topics include:
- Hands on practice with splinting, bandaging, bleeding/hemorrhage control, spinal immobilization and advanced spinal assessments, and more.
- Creating, adopting, managing, and implementing emergency care plans for students with chronic health issues. This includes how to ensure that these care plans become part of a students IEP and/or 504 plan and how to engage the classroom teacher in the students care.
- Planning for field trips and how to plan for and manage emergency situations when the school nurse is not available.
- Any other area of interest to you as a school nurse.
