School Nurses

Program for Nurses: The programs that we can offer in this section can be tailored to the professional development needs of particular school nurses and school safety concerns.  Training topics include:

  1. Hands on practice with splinting, bandaging, bleeding/hemorrhage control, spinal immobilization and advanced spinal assessments, and more.
  2. Creating, adopting, managing, and implementing emergency care plans for students with chronic health issues.  This includes how to ensure that these care plans become part of a students IEP and/or 504 plan and how to engage the classroom teacher in the students care.
  3. Planning for field trips and how to plan for and manage emergency situations when the school nurse is not available.
  4. Any other area of interest to you as a school nurse.
